Diane Lieberman
Business News:
Diane Lieberman and Debi Wechsler are teaming up to support Jewish Community Services (JCS) of South Florida – an organization dedicated
to providing a spectrum of programs and services to individuals of all denominations, ages, cultural and ethnic backgrounds – on Thursday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m. at acclaimed
artist Romero Britto’s gallery, Britto Central located on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach.
Diane Lieberman, owner of South Beach Investment Realty, a prominent Miami Beach high-end real estate company, has had a long-standing personal
commitment to Jewish and community causes and she is active as both a volunteer and as a professional in her community.
An original Romero Britto painting entitled “The Land of Milk & Honey” that was inspired by the work and efforts of the JCS and is valued at $10,000 will be
auctioned off at the event. The success of Britto’s nearly decade-long association as a showcase artist with Absolut Vodka’s world-wide advertising campaign (which also included
Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Kenny Scharf) has acted as an important catalyst to his career. Over the years, Britto has lent his talent and energy to many charitable causes using his
access to international audiences as a means to address problematic public issues of concern.
For more information about tonight’s Milk & Honey Gala Reception and the JCS please contact the JCS at (305) 899-1587.
* Bellini on the Ocean, the newest luxury development from Martin Z. Margulies, will feature a full-service spa and café designed,
staffed and managed by SpaVida, according to COO/Project Manager Shannon Selby.
SpaVida was selected to open Bellini's 4,000-square-foot on-site facility because of its proven expertise and integrated approach to project development,
says Selby. “With just 81 residences in a 24-story tower, Bellini is going to be one of the most exclusive addresses anywhere in South Florida. Our private, residents-only spa will cater
to homeowners accustomed to the very personalized level of service in which SpaVida specializes.”
The Bellini spa will feature health, fitness, beauty and wellness regimens for a 40+ clientele. The spa will offer full-circuit cardiovascular and strength
training, Pilates, yoga and aqua exercise. As a “marine care center,” the specially formulated products used for face and body care will be made from all-natural botanicals from the sea.
Personal training as well as weight-management and nutritional counseling will be offered. Other planned services will include massage, hydrotherapy, cosmetic dermatology, manicure,
pedicure and hairstyling.
Additionally, the Bellini spa will include one of SpaVida's signature spa cuisine cafes, serving breakfast and lunch daily on balconies overlooking the
Atlantic. The gourmet menu of heart-healthy nouvelle cuisine will be developed by SpaVida culinary consultant Randall W. Lewis, the executive chef for Kendall-Jackson Wine
Estates and 2001 honoree as one of Food & Wine Magazine’s “Best New Chefs in America.”
Ranging from 3,000 to 9,000 square feet, Bellini on the Ocean residences are pre-sale priced from $1 to $3 million. Penthouse pricing is available upon
request. Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2002 and the tower is slated for completion by April 2004.

* During a kick-off reception attended by the general membership and local elected officials, the former South Beach & Greater Miami Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce announced to the community its new name: South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and presented its new logo. The leadership of the eight-year
old chamber of commerce, composed of 280 members, voted in favor of this name change out of an existent need within the Hispanic business community of South Florida for a strong and
visible Hispanic Chamber of Commerce that would represent that segment of the population. According to chamber President, Liliam Lopez, “our organization is growing at a very rapid
pace, and we saw that there is a need for a strong and vibrant Hispanic chamber of commerce not only in Miami Beach but in the whole South Florida region.”
“The chamber's programs will continue to benefit primarily the businesses in Miami Beach and we are putting an emphasis on that. Also our offices will
always stay in South Beach since this area is where our roots are,” said Lopez. The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has established various Districts with Chairpersons
representing the different geographical areas. The Chairpersons for each district will be in charge of promoting and working with the local businesses of their respective districts and of
coordinating activities in the different areas.
