Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Inc. has just announced its Miami-Dade County sales figures for 2002, which shows that for another
consecutive year, the company continues to lead the industry in total sales.
From January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Inc. sold 7,659 units for a total of $2,465,607,113 in Miami-Dade –
more than double the amount of the company’s nearest competitor.
“Since 1994, Coldwell Banker has grown consistently to dominate the Miami-Dade County real estate market through a commitment to customer satisfaction,”
said Pat Dahne, regional president of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Inc. in a press release “Our company also leads the state and nation in luxury home sales, with a
full 54% of all million-dollar-plus properties in the United States sold by Coldwell Banker Previews International,” she added.
Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation reported that the highest activity of luxury units sold in 2002 was among the homes priced between $1 and $5 million
with more than ten thousand transactions in this range. According to the company, Florida was ranked third out of 25 states in luxury home sales by volume with a total of $1,001,030,465.

Cliff Schulman, shareholder and co-chair of Greenberg Traurig LLP’s national environmental and land use practice, has been named chairman of
the board of the Aventura Marketing Council (AMC).
Schulman is a long-time executive committee member of the AMC and is known for his “Cliff’s Notes” presentations at the organization’s monthly meetings. In
his new role, Schulman will continue to develop AMC’s innovative programs, networking and business-development forums and partnerships with local schools and charities.

* Michael Aller will receive the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Travel & Tourism Hall of Fame Award at the 2003 Travel & Tourism
Luncheon, to be held at the Eden Roc Resort & Spa on February 27th at 12 Noon. Aller, who has been the City of Miami Beach’s director of tourism and conventions and
chief of protocol since 1990, will be honored for his exceptional contributions to the tourism industry in Miami Beach.
Said Miami Beach City Manager Jorge Gonzalez in a press release, “I can not think of anyone who deserves this award more or who epitomizes ‘tourism
professional’ more than Michael Aller.”
Aller’s responsibilities and accomplishments include developing the city’s 24-hour Tourism Hotline, promotion of the city as a meeting and convention site,
regular meetings with international and national travel journalists, and liaison with all Miami Beach hotels, taxi companies, concierges, airports and tourism trade groups, among others.
Aller also serves as the liaison between the City and the international Gay community, serving on the Board of the Miami-DadeGay/Lesbian Chamber of
Commerce, as a member of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitor Bureau/Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and as the originator of the Gay Media Tour, the first-ever
City-sponsored media event of its kind. As chief of protocol, Aller is “master of ceremony” at all official functions hosted by the City of Miami Beach. Aller was also instrumental in
bringing the CBS All-American Thanksgiving Day Parade to Miami Beach in November 2002.
The Travel and Tourism Hall of Fame was created by the Chamber's Board of Governors to honor the leaders of Miami Beach's hospitality industry for

2003, a star-studded black-tie affair that will honor internationally acclaimed record producer Emilio Estefan, Jr., Mount Sinai Chairman Martin J. Gelb and
Fontainebleau Hilton owner Stephen Muss.

Television personality Cristina Saralegui, better known to her fans as Cristina, will serve as emcee for the evening, adding star power to the festivities slated
for January 25th at the Fontainebleau Hilton.
“Record numbers of reservations were made prior to the invitation being delivered to the public,” said Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Chairman Michael Milberg.
“This year’s Dinner Gala will be the biggest in the Chamber’s 82-year history, and certainly the outpouring of support for our honorees and the wealth of talented performers appearing

The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors and Pillar Trustees will honor Emilio Estefan, Jr. with the 2003 Citizen of the Year Award. In
addition, Mount Sinai’s Martin J. Gelb will receive the Jan Pfeiffer Distinguished Service Award and Stephen Muss of the Fontainebleau Hilton will be honored with the Leonard
“Doc” Baker Lifetime Achievement Award.

Emilio Estefan, Jr. will receive the prestigious Citizen of the Year Award for his contributions to South Florida’s unique cultural fusion. Through his role as a
chart-topping producer of such acts as Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Ricky Martin, Carlos Ponce, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez and Cachao, Estefan has exported the “Miami Sound” to
millions of music fans around the world, earning him 12 Grammy Awards, two Cable Ace Awards, an American Music Award, the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame “Sammy Cahn
Lifetime Achievement Award,” and the first-ever Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences’ Person of the Year Award. In September 1998, Billboard Magazine honored
Estefan with an edition dedicated to his 20th anniversary in music. In 2001, Estefan was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on his committee for the Arts
and Humanities. More recently, he received the Medallion of Excellence for community service from The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
