Birthday Bananas from NYC to Miami

There was a barrage of birthdays last weekend, and it took a trip to New York City for me to really party like a Taurus. The running with the bulls began Friday night on South Beach, where Harvey Keitel celebrated turning 875 years old at Social Miami at the Sagamore Hotel.

In town filming My Sexiest Year, Keitel was joined by castmates Frankie Muniz (left with fiance Jamie), Ryan Cabrera, Amber Valletta, Nick Zano, Karolina Kurkova and Rachel Specter to celebrate the big day. The crew downed Patron shots and champagne while munching on all the Social Miami treats before blowing out the candles on the celebration. Celebrity photographer Seth Browarnik also celebrated his 28th birthday at the popular Social Miami party. A cabana filled with 200 of Browarnik’s closest friends also downed Patron before moving to Mansion. Throughout the night the group went through three bottles of Patron and cameras were almost lost.

On Saturday night, up in New York City, Sopranos hottie Jamie Lynn Sigler celebrated her 25th birthday at a jam-packed party at Marquee. Friends, including TV brother Robert Iler and ’N Sync-er Lance Bass joined Sigler in jamming along to hip-hop and rock music and absorbing ample amounts of Level vodka and whatever shots were being served up. Among the posse was Sigler’s new dude Scott Sartiano, Marquee’s Noah Tepperberg, Richie Akiva and representing the 305, Opium Group’s Chris Jones. Iler stole the show though, as he hopped on the table and belted out rock hits like Outfield’s “Your Love” before feeding Sigler one of the mini-cupcakes brought out in honor of the birthday. The party moved to G Spa at the Hotel Gansevoort around 2:30 a.m. and continued at the spa-turned-nightclub until the early morning hours. By then I was pretty blacked out, so details are sparse.

Over at Cain — another NYC hotspot — on Saturday night, former NBA bad boy Dennis Rodman celebrated his 45th birthday as only Rodman could, with a wild and crazy blow out that ultimately led to him taking off his shirt and banging on the drums at the club until 5 a.m. Queer Eye star Jai Rodriguez was among the crowd, who helped blow out candles on a cake sporting D-Rod’s mug.

MUNIZ IN THE MIDDLE

After Social Miami, the cast members of My Sexiest Year headed downtown to Studio A Friday night for the Revolver party spearheaded by the team at Supermarket Miami. Things were not so great for Frankie Muniz, who, sources say, stepped in the middle of a fight between his security and a club bouncer who wouldn’t let his fiancée, Jamie Gandy, into the VIP section. Eventually the Malcolm in the Middle star got his girl in and the couple partied alongside Ryan Cabrera, Karolina Kurkova and Amber Valletta. Those of legal drinking age took down Heinekens, while Muniz could only dream of one day kicking back with a cold one after rescuing his lady from mixing with the common folk.

NEW RELATIONSHIP ICY HOT AT MANSION

Elisha Cuthbert, the sexy star of The Girl Next Door who currently stars in the hit show 24, hosted the Friday night fete at Mansion. The actress spent most of the evening snuggled up with boyfriend Sean Avery of the Los Angeles Kings at a table in the VIP section. When not smooching with the hockey stud, Cuthbert partied alongside David Grutman and Navin Chatani and joined a packed house in dancing along to the hip-hop beats provided by DJ Irie and Mr. Mauricio.

LIVE MUSIC ON LINCOLN

I swung by the Miami Live party at Santo on Wednesday night to check out the action and I was totally impressed. The party, thrown by Michael Madd, Louis Oliver, Jimmy Henchmen and Abebe Lewis and hosted by Lorenzo “Ice-T” Thomas of 99 Jamz each week combines dinner party-style fun and live music — a rarity among the South Beach party scene. DJ Affect works the turntables and acts like Pretty Ricky, Truth Hurts, John Ross, K-Dub, Big D and a number of hip-hop and R&B acts have performed already. Smitty took the stage last week and performed “Diamonds on My Neck” for the crowd. Everything is unannounced so you never know who will turn out. Check it out.

UPCOMING...IN THE HAMPTONS

As summer starts to roll in, it’s time to start planning your “get out of Miami” vacations. Always a hotspot among the party-hoppers is the Hamptons, where the celebs frolic through the Long Island sands by day and booze uncontrollably at night. If you’re starting your summer this Memorial Day (as many Miamians do) check out Boutique, co-owned by Matt Heien, a familiar face on the South Beach scene. This year the Bridgehampton lounge will cater to the IT crowd under the direction of Blue & Cream owner Jeffrey Goldstein’s protégés Ben Grieff and David Marino. Speaking of Blue & Cream, the boutique owned by Goldstein and Kira Cohen, it’s a fun place to both shop and drink, with cocktail parties drawing the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paul McCartney and of course the Olsen girls.

For late-night fun, check out the all new Cain Southampton Club, the satellite spot of the popular Chelsea nightclub owned by Jamie Mulholland. Opening its doors with a Memorial Day bash, expect the club (located in the former Jet East space) to import Cain’s signature dancers and drummers as well as an array of international DJs and a roster of high-profile events.

SPOTTED…

  • Dolphins star Zach Thomas drinking Vodka tonics with a group of friends in the Redroom at Skybar on Friday night.

  • Frankie Muniz and his fiancée Jamie Gandy shopping at the Aventura Mall on Saturday afternoon.

  • Matt Damon and his super-pregnant wife dining at The Forge on Saturday night.

  • Harvey Keitel escorting four hot young ladies into the VIP section of Privé on Saturday night, where he popped champagne to the sounds of DJ Sky Nellor.

  • Scottie Pippen, Tracy Bingham and Ryan Cabrera and a bunch of New Jersey Nets partying at the Secret Society party at B.E.D. on Monday night.
