Wynwood, Miami’s hippest new artist enclave, comprises a variety of pubs, bars and above all, deliciously eclectic art galleries. The charm of this up and coming neighborhood is heightened with the recent success of The Lost and Found Saloon, an eatery with a western twang.

Long, cafeteria-style wooden tables and gorgeous artwork drown the walls, making this a well-planned Miami take on a typical “Southwestern/Western” saloon. You won’t find any tumbleweed, bucket hats or spurs here … just the scampering of designer sneakers and stilettos.

Breakfast is a big deal at the saloon. In fact it’s such a big deal, they serve it all day and night. However, as the construction project along Biscayne Boulevard evolves, so do the Saloon’s hours, says owner Ken Burcell. Currently the saloon opens at 11 a.m. Hours are kept updated on the Web site, www.thelostandfoundsaloon-miami.com.

Try the monstrous Breakfast Burrito that includes scrambled eggs, saffron rice, beans, cheese, lettuce and tomato with a side of pico de gallo and cole slaw for $3.50. Fresh fruit juices and strong coffee on the side are a brilliant way to start the morning.

All of the classic saloon salads range from $5.25 to $8.25 and come with a diverse range of dressings including Chipotle Caesar, Raspberry Vinaigrette, Buttermilk Ranch and Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette. A refreshing bowl of Gazpacho or Vegetarian Chili will set you back $6.25. Italian, Spanish, Chilean and California wines grace the menu, providing an ample selection.

For those with a heartier appetite, the saloon offers an enticing entrée list. Hot Pulled Pork on Sour Dough is served with crisp lettuce, sliced tomato and cole slaw for $6.25. Vegetarians will enjoy the Pinon and Pepita-Crusted Tofu, tofu seared with pinon nuts and pepita seeds and served with a side of saffron rice, sautéed spinach and roasted red pepper pesto for $7.25.

The Lost and Found Saloon is located at 185 NW 36th St., Miami. Hours are Monday – Wednesday 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Thursday – Friday 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Saturday for dinner from 7:00 p.m. – midnight. Takeout and delivery service are available. Reservations are not required and all major credit cards are accepted. Call 305-576-1008 or visit www.thelostandfoundsaloon-miami.com for more information.
