Kramer vs. Kramer

Thomas Kramer’s Blog Argues Against Crotch Grab

By Ryan Brown

Crotchety Kramer?

Thomas Kramer: South Beach real-estate super-developer, eccentric German socialite party guy, and…crotch-fondling high-fiver???

On Saturday, March 31, Kramer was tossed in a New York City jail after a 13-year-old boy accused Kramer of fondling him in a men’s room while asking for a “high-five.”

The New York Post, Miami Herald and the Broward Palm Beach New Times columnist Bob Norman have been all over this story, casting judgment on Kramer, who has been accused (but never convicted) of sexual assault in the past, but it seems they failed to read the evidence that may prove his innocence: his blog.

On his blog, which can be viewed at tkblog.wordpress.com, Kramer has posted what appears to be an email message from Jeffrey Steiner, who was celebrating his 70th birthday at Rockefeller Center where the alleged crotch grab took place.

“I regret serious of misunderstandings [sic] and misstatements regarding Saturday night incident,” the email says. “Clearly there never was an issue of sexual assault. I have discussed it in detail with the parents of the boy and they recognize it was a mistake to call the police when it was only pushing the boy of the shoe shine was the incident.”

But if that wasn’t enough for you skeptics, another email is posted from someone named “Zuri”.

“We believe in you and we are your friend. I know I am. Zuri,” the email says.
